Dr Lilach offers compassionate, comprehensive and holistic care to women needing support through their different phases of life. Some of the reasons your GP may refer you to Dr Lilach are:

    • Menstrual Issues

      Assessment diagnosis treatment and management of abnormal periods painful, heavy or irregular bleeding.

    • Endometriosis, Ovarian Cysts and PCOS

      Endometriosis, ovarian cysts and masses, as well as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

    • Prolapse

      Prolapse happens when the pelvic muscles and ligaments weaken, causing organs to shift from their normal position.

    • Contraception Advice

      Including Mirena IUD and other options.

    • Menopause Management

      Assessment and management of menopause, including post-menopausal bleeding.

    • Infertility

      Assessment and management of fertility troubles.

Your First Visit with Dr Lilach

We all know that coming to the Gynaecologist can be very nerve racking, embarrassing and a bit scary at times. Lilach aims to make her patients as comfortable and as informed as possible at every step of the consultation. We often share a laugh with our patients, and sometimes a tear.

Many of our patients drive hours to come to their consultation, for this reason, we aim to make every minute of your encounter count. Your first consultation will begin with a comprehensive history taking, starting from the reason that brought you to us, and then learning about your medical, family, surgical and gynaecological history.

If needed, after explanation and with your permission, an examination will take place, and the next suggested steps for your personal care. You are welcome to attend with a loved one when appropriate.

In preparation for your appointment, you may be asked to perform some imaging or blood tests, and referrals will be provided to you.

Services Offered by Dr Lilach

Laparoscopic Surgery

Dr Lilach is trained to perform Laparoscopy or keyhole surgery. Laparoscopic Surgery is a less invasive surgical technique.  Laporoscopy is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, chronic pelvic pain or a hysterectomy.

Birth Control

You may wish to discuss different birth control options with Dr Lilach. One of those is the IUD. IUDs offer effective long-term birth control without affecting your future fertility. Insertion of IUDs can be done at the time of your appointment with Dr Lilach or as a surgical procedure.

Abnormal cervical screening tests (smears)

If you’ve had an abnormal cervical screening test result, Dr Lilach will examine your cervix, vagina and vulva more closely (colposcopy).  This procedure is preformed in our surgery.

Prolapse

Dr Lilach was fortunate to have extensive training and experience with primary prolapse repair surgery, both as a trainee in the Uro-Gynaecology unit in St George Hospital, and during years of working closely with Dr Halloway, a senior rural gynaecologist.

Hysteroscopy

You might need a hysteroscopy to investigate and treat problems such as heavy periods, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, polyps or infertility. A hysteroscopy is a procedure that uses a small camera to look inside the uterus, or womb.

Hysterectomy

A hysterectomy is an operation to remove your uterus. Your cervix is usually also removed. Some of the reasons for hysterectomy are heavy or painful periods, fibroid uterus, significant prolapse, and others. Dr Lilach will discuss the best hysterectomy option for your specific situation.
